Esports app aimed at FIFA fans created by Poole business

AN APP built in Dorset and aimed at players of the FIFA online football games has been downloaded around the world.

The PGS eSports app allows FIFA’s millions of users to easily enter statistics, create teams, take part in tournaments and win awards.

It was designed and built by Poole software, web and marketing agency b4b and has been downloaded more than 45,000 times across more than 150 countries in nine months.

The app, which has been praised as “smooth”, “sleek” and the “most reliable on the market”, can be translated into any language and was recently in the top 150 sports apps for Apple mobile devices.

b4b plans new features that will let users livestream games, earn PGS coins and quickly find new players to offer contracts.

A tournament module recently went alive, giving users the ability to create tournaments.

Kian James, founder of PGS, said: “The team at b4b have helped us turn an ambitious concept into a smooth and streamlined app that adds real value to the gaming experience.

“We are thrilled with what they have delivered so far and have lots of exciting plans for the future development of the app.”

Scott Sudden, senior software project manager for Cabot Lane-based b4b, said the assignment was a career highlight.

“PGS is one of our most exciting clients to work with,” he said.

“They have great potential to become a global player in the e-sports industry as a whole and are committed to constantly building on their technology by working with us to provide new and innovative features to their users.

“They have an ambitious vision to provide the best worldwide platform for competitions and leagues for all games, and we have already seen a huge leap in growth since their incorporation.

“We are excited to be a part of this journey and can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in the coming years.”

b4b also recently launched the new PGS website and will be handling the company’s email marketing as well as a social media advertising campaign.
