2021 still has some amazing video games on the way, especially now that the schedule has been fleshed out by E3 2021. The pandemic threw the production of a lot of video games into chaos, which might be why so many games were announced a lot later than they normally would have been.
2020 saw the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but the continuing shortages for the new systems mean that lots of players will have to rely on their PS4 and Xbox Ones for a little longer. Luckily, the bulk of the games coming out in the rest of 2021 that are multi-platform are also cross-gen, so players won’t be missing out on the biggest titles of the year. As it stands, it’s the Nintendo Switch that has the most exclusives remaining in 2021.
