Everything you need to know: eSports WRC World Final

Gamers from seven different countries will descend on Athens, Greece from 7 – 8 September to compete for over 30,000 Euros worth of prizes in the eSports WRC World Final presented by AGON by AOC.

The world’s eight best drivers were whittled down from more than 15,000 following a 13-round regular season which concluded in August when 2020 world champion Sami-Joe Abi-Nakhle was crowned regular season MVP, earning himself an AGON by AOC screen valued at more than 1,000 Euros.

The Lebanese teenage sensation will be hot favourite in the televised world final this Thursday (8 September), where he is expected to receive intense competition from three-time world champion Lohan ‘Nexl’ Blanc.

However, they will first need to navigate the World Final Semi-Finals, with only four of the eight drivers progressing to compete in the final. The full line-up is:

  • Lohan ‘Nexl’ Blanc (FRA)
  • Kazunakota (JPN)
  • John ‘Izamusing’ Bebnowicz-Harris (GBR)
  • Dylan Noel (FRA)
  • Marco ‘Botti Jr’ Botinelli (ITA)
  • Michal ‘Katana’ Krol (POL)
  • Panagiotis Zeniou (CYP)

The winner will take home 25,000 Euros cash from WRC The Game publishers Nacon and game development studio KT Racing. This will be complemented by a limited-edition TW Steel VS90 WRC watch.

The runner-up will receive a full sim set-up courtesy of AGON by AOC, Playseat and Fanatec and a limited-edition TW Steel VS92 WRC watch while there will also be a TW Steel GT11 WRC watch awaiting the third place-getter.

The Final will be streamed live globally at 16:00 CET 08/09 on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
