F1 2021 is being touted as a “new next-generation racing experience,” which features all the teams, drivers, and circuits from the 2021 FIA Formula One World Championship. You’ll be able to get to grips with an all-new story mode, expanded Career mode with a two-player option, and the three new Portimão, Imola, and Jeddah circuits.
In the new Braking Point story mode, you’ll rise from the ranks of Formula 2 “to a shot at stardom in the world of Formula 1,” tackling rivalries both on and off the track. Devon Butler, who featured in F1 2019, will also be making a return in this story mode. Career Mode is getting a two-player option that allows a friend to join online for co-op play on the same team or an opposing team. Another new feature coming with Career mode is Real-Season Start, which enables you to begin at any point in the season with real-time driver and constructor standings. My Team, two-player split-screen, shorter season options for F1 and F2, and esports integration are all returning with F1 2021.
Those on Xbox Series X|S can expect faster load times and “greater graphical fidelity,” which Codemasters says makes F1 2021 “the most detailed and immersive F1 game ever.”
F1 2021 also supports Xbox Smart Delivery, so if you purchase the game on Xbox One, you’ll automatically receive the Xbox Series X|S copy of the game when you upgrade. Preorders for both the standard edition and the Deluxe Edition are live now:
