Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout won’t be arriving on Switch and Xbox this Summer, as was previously planned.
Mediatonic, developers of the online battle royale game have announced that the game, having already launched on the PS4, won’t be arriving on the other two home consoles. The company stated:
“With so many new opportunities now in our hands, we’ve realised that our previously announced Summer 2021 Switch and Xbox release schedule is unfortunately just too soon for us to include all of the tasty new features we’re working on.”

Mediatonic was recently purchased by Epic Games and the statement suggests this has been a factor, the company having been given access to a much wider range of tools which the developer is keep to make use of. Mediatonic haven’t revealed an updated release date or even a general window so it could be some time till Fall Guys arrives on Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
The good news is that, as part of the delay, Mediatonic plan on adding crossplay to the game so that people will be able to play against their friends no matter what platform they’re on.
In the mean time, Fall Guys remains a PC and Playstation 4 game for now. We’ll let you know when we have news of an updated release date.
