Electronic Arts has booted a FIFA 22 gameplay trailer into the back of the net this morning for your to gawk at, which highlights a number of new features coming to the latest entry in the football franchise.

FIFA 22 will employ a new technology known as HyperMotion, which allows the game to create bespoke player animations on the fly. Here’s EA’s blurb on the tech:
A cutting-edge proprietary machine learning algorithm learns from over 8.7 million frames of advanced match capture, then writes new animations in real time to create organic football realism across a variety of interactions on the pitch.
Developed by EA Romania and EA Vancouver, FIFA 22 will launch on PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One on October 1, 2021. The game will feature the series’ first ever female commentator, Alex Scott, and will feature Kylian Mbappé as its cover star.
