Forza Horizon 5 PC Features and Updated System Requirements Revealed

Forza Horizon 5 launches in just over a month, and developer Playground Games has now revealed what PC players can expect from the game. A new, detailed look at the game’s PC system requirements have also been revealed after a preliminary listing on Steam.

The PC features for Forza Horizon 5 include unlocked frame rate, 4K and higher resolution support, HDR, expandable field of view and 21:9 ultrawide display support. The game will also support input from Xbox wireless controller and the following steering wheels:

  • Logitech: Driving Force, G25, G27, G29, G920, G923PS, G923XB, Momo
  • Thrustmaster: Ferrari 458, T150 RS, T300 RS, T500 RS, TMX, T-GT, TS-XW, TX, TS-PC
  • Fanatec: V1, V2, V2.5, CSL, CSL DD, DD1, DD2, Universal HUB device

Ray tracing is included in the ‘Forzavista’ mode, just like its console counterpart, although there’s evidence to suggest that the ray-traced elements may be of a higher resolution on PC.

Forza Horizon 5 PC System Requirements

Here’s a look at Forza Horizon 5’s PC system requirements:

Forza Horizon 5 Minimum PC Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 version (1909) or higher
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 1200 OR Intel i5-4460
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics: AMD RX 470 OR Nvidia GTX 970
  • VRAM: 4GB
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 110 GB available space

Forza Horizon 5 Recommended PC Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 version (1909) or higher
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1500X OR Intel i5-8400
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Graphics: AMD RX 590 OR Nvidia GTX 1070
  • VRAM: 8GB
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 110 GB available space

The requirements are a little higher than that of Forza Horizon 4, which released in 2018. It makes sense as the new game is being developed for both the Xbox One and the new Xbox Series X|S generation of consoles, so expect the general feature set to require some extra power on PC.

Forza Horizon 5 India Price and Editions

Here are what all editions of the game costs in India as seen on Steam:

  • Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition – Rs. 3,499
  • Forza Horizon 5 Deluxe Edition – Rs. 4,499
  • Forza Horizon 5 Premium Edition – Rs. 5,499

The game’s cost on PC shows a disregard for Microsoft’s own regional pricing, which is in stark contrast with how the previous entry, Forza Horizon 4, was priced when it debuted on Steam.

Forza Horizon 5 releases on November 9 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass for both consoles and PC.
