Forza Horizon 5 races into first place

Our latest Xbox Gameplay Chart shows that Forza Horizon 5 has now zoomed directly into the top spot, knocking Modern Warfare down to second. Given that the other previous games that have held the top spot have been Apex Legends, Back 4 Blood, Black Ops 4, Black Ops Cold War, Fortnite, GTA V, and Red Dead Redemption 2, then Forza Horizon 5 is the first racer to race into the top spot. Here is the top 40 Xbox Gameplay Chart for the week ending November 14th, 2021.

The top ten doesn’t have much room to recover, either, as GTA: San Andreas — The Definitive Edition makes its first appearance at third, booting Fortnite to fourth. The rest of the top ten fills out with Apex Legends at fifth and Vanguard just below, which has jumped up four spaces to sixth. Then there’s Minecraft refusing to budge at seventh and GTA V which has been kicked from fifth to eighth. Rocket League sits at ninth while Black Ops Cold War has fallen from sixth to tenth. Battlefield 2042 makes its first appearance at 15th, despite the fact that it doesn’t actually release until November 19th, since players who preordered the Gold or Ultimate edition get to play early.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition has leapt up from 36th to 19th, which is most likely thanks to the release of the Skyrim Anniversary Edition and the arrival of Xbox Series X|S enhancements and Creation Club items. Then we have a slew of games falling down the chart until we come to the Xbox One version of Battlefield 2042 at 26th. Just below, It Takes Two has hopped up four more spaces since its addition to Xbox Game Pass. A little further down, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is back in the top 40 at 32nd after the arrival of the Tombs of the Fallen activity, which added two new achievements. The Oskoreia festival is currently underway in the game as a free time-limited event, with another update to arrive in December, so it’s likely we’ll see Assassin’s Creed Valhalla stay on the top 40. Marvel’s Avengers, on the other hand, has fallen eight spaces to 34th, while Totally Accurate Battle Simulator makes its debut appearance at 40th. This week’s disappearances, meanwhile, are Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Age of Empires IV, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Unpacking, and Kill It With Fire.

Looking ahead, we have the full launch of Battlefield 2042, along with Xbox Game Pass additions like Exo One. What do you think? Will Forza Horizon 5 stay in first place? Will Battlefield 2042 rise or fall? Let us know what you think in the comments!
