Friday’s featured game stories and scores from the third week of the high school football spring season.

La Habra 30, Sonora 14: The reputation that the La Habra High School has earned over the years is for a highly entertaining passing game with touchdowns scored with great frequency. In Friday’s 30-14 win over visiting Sonora, the Highlanders showed that they could run the ball effectively when the situation calls for it.

Alemany 47, Bishop Amat 35: Anyone worried about how Alemany would do with quarterback Miller Moss gone and opting to plan-ahead with USC instead of playing the coronavirus shortened spring season, found out everything they needed to know about his predecessor, junior QB Dylan Gebbia, who had a breakthrough performance against two-time defending Mission League champion Bishop Amat on Friday night.

La Serna 28, El Rancho 0: In this shortened season, La Serna High School came away with its second consecutive win and first in the Del Rio League, defeating El Rancho, 28-0, Friday night at California High.
