PS4 to PS5: How do free upgrades work?
Free upgrades from PS4 to PS5 will work differently depending on how the publisher decides to support the initiative and which versions of the games you own. For example, if you buy a digital copy of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on PS4, you’ll be able to upgrade to a digital copy of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on PS5 for free. If you have a physical copy of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on PS4, you’ll need to hold on to your copy of the disc, as you’ll need to use it to play Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on PS5.
