October 13 represents another drop for Microsoft’s Game Pass subscription, specifically with a brand new game entering early access/game preview.
PC Game Pass owners can claim a new day one game that’s entering its early access/game preview via the subscription service beginning today, October 13, and that game is a space/factory simulation strategy game called Dyson Sphere Program.
Of course, Game Pass is not forgetting about its console users either. There’s plenty more on the way, and the Xbox Game Pass titles for October 2022 are pretty stacked. A Plague Tale: Requiem, Ghostbusters, the critically-acclaimed Norco, the beloved JRPG Persona 5 Royal, the survival horror game Signalis, and more will be available between October 18 and the end of the month.
Game Pass‘ official description of Dyson Sphere Program states that players will “build the most efficient intergalactic factory in space simulation strategy game Dyson Sphere Program! Harness the power of stars, collect resources, plan and design production lines, and develop your interstellar factory from a small space workshop to a galaxy-wide industrial empire.” Players take on the role of a space engineer of the space alliance COSMO, tasked with creating megastructures that produce power and energy for humanity.
Of course, anyone who checks out Dyson Sphere Program should keep in mind that it is part of Microsoft’s Game Preview Program. It’s just another word for early access, and Dyson Sphere Program is not yet complete. This means that some features may be incomplete, some bugs may linger, and there could be some areas for major improvement. However, an early access game is also perfect for Game Pass.
Multiplayer games on Xbox Game Pass, as an example, usually do quite well because of its increased marketing and automatic community. The latter is super important for a game that’s obviously in early access, as this means that the developer will be able to gather more feedback and tune improvements being made to the game. This bodes well, inherently, for Dyson Sphere Program‘s future.
Of course, it’s not the only game to ever be in Game Preview on Game Pass. Grounded just entered its full launch after being in early access for quite some time, with its early access period being a golden example of how it should work. Meanwhile, Slime Rancher 2 recently entered its early access period on Xbox Game Pass too, and that means players have at least a couple of games they can hop in and see before the full launch.
Game Pass subscribers get a handful of games every month.
