Games with Gold: Broken Sword 5 and Hydrophobia are now free

The February Games with Gold selection that was announced last week has gone live, specifically the first wave. Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can now claim two more games to their libraries, them being Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse for Xbox One and Hydrophobia for Xbox 360.

These also include backward compatibility support, allowing newer Xbox platforms to also jump in. As a result, Broken Sword 5 is available to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S owners, while Hydrophobia is playable across those console families as well as the old Xbox 360.

The store links listed below can be used to directly add the games to a Gold activated Microsoft account:

Playing as intrepid American George Stobbart and sassy French journalist Nico Collard, you find yourself on the trail of a stolen painting – and a murderous conspiracy. A conspiracy whose roots lie in mysteries older than the written word…

Hydrophobia is a third person survival adventure set in a floating city, where terrorists take control and heroine Kate has to overcome her haunting childhood memories and fight back using all her skills and expertise as a systems engineer.

Those who haven’t yet managed to claim Aground from the previous Games with Gold promotion still have two weeks before the game is replaced by the next bonus title: Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield.

As always, keep in mind that Xbox 360 games claimed via one of these promotions will continue being playable even if the Gold subscription is discontinued. However, claimed Xbox One games are only playable while the account has an active subscription.
