Dead Space Remake Announced
EA Play Live wasn’t much of a show, except it brought us the announcement of a Dead Space remake. While the original game was developed by Visceral Games, the remake will be done by EA Motive, best known for Star Wars: Squadrons, and the campaign mode for Battlefront 2.
The announcement was done with a short clip showing the game’s protagonist firing up his suit. It also showcased some creepy atmosphere and music, finishing up with the ominous “Cut of their limbs” written in blood. Of course, any fan of Dead Space knows that this refers to the Necromorphs which you need to slice up into tiny pieces or they’ll keep coming. Check out the teaser and find out more about the remake in our original news coverage.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits has been delayed
Ember Lab, the creators behind the highly-anticipated game Kena: Bridge of Spirits, have announced that the game will be delayed until September 21. The statement was brief and to the point with the team wishing to polish the game before it is released on all platforms.
This hasn’t been the first time that Kena: Bridge of Spirits has been delayed. Its original release was set for late 2020 but was pushed back to Q1 2021 due to the Ember Lab team facing the challenges of working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hopefully, this will be the last delay, as the game is honestly looking magical, to say the least. To find out more about the delay, check out our original news coverage.
Scarlet Johannson is suing Disney over Black Widow
Black Widow certainly isn’t earning as much as previous MCU films, but it’s still doing great all things considered. Just check its Rotten Tomatoes score and some of the reviews to see for yourself. Still, not everything is fine and dandy as Scarlett Johansson is suing Disney for a breach of contract relating to the release of the film.
Johansson argues that the release of the film on Disney+ has deprived her of earnings that she otherwise would have received with an exclusively theatrical release. She also claims that it was promised that the film was to be a theatrical release by Marvel Studios. Disney has since responded by calling the lawsuit “sad and distressing”. Aloy from the Horizon franchise is crossing over to Genshin Impact
In Genshin Impact’s first collaboration, MiHoYo teams up with Guerrilla Games to bring Aloy from the Horizon series to the world of Teyvat. Wielding her signature bow, Aloy is a five-star Cryo bow character. She’s expected to make her appearance in patches 2.1 and 2.2 for PlayStation and PC/Mobile users respectively.
This isn’t the red-headed archer’s first cross-over appearance and considering her popularity – it won’t be the last. Just recently, Aloy came to Fortnite in another cross-over event. PlayStation 5 had some excellent sales since its release
We are still in the midst of a global shortage of PlayStation 5 consoles as the demand currently far outweighs the supply. Not only is this due to COVID-19 affecting chip production but also due to the fact that the console is insanely popular. In, fact, it’s so popular that Sony sold more than 10 million units globally, making it their fastest-selling console ever.
The shortage and Sony’s efforts are reflected in the statement made by Sony Interactive Entertainment’s president and CEO Jim Ryan: “While PS5 has reached more households faster than any of our previous consoles, we still have a lot of work ahead of us as demand for PS5 continues to outstrip supply.” For more information on PS5 sales results, check out our original news coverage.
