Gang Beasts is the latest title getting Cross-Play support that doesn’t include PlayStation platforms, as it looks like Sony is continuing to block the feature for one reason or another.
A series of Tweets between fans and the Gang Beasts account reveals that Cross-Play will be supported between PC and Xbox gamers, but PlayStation isn’t going to be featured. When asked about this, they replied:
It’s something we want to do, but it’s no feasible at the moment. Sorry
Gang Beasts was originally released for the PS4 and PC back in December 2017, and later launched for the Xbox One in March 2019.
Borderlands 3 is another game that recently received Cross-Play for all formats besides PlayStation, and it has been suggested that Sony is blocking the feature as Gearbox revealed it was forced to remove Cross-Play at the request of the ‘publisher.’
