One of the most popular esports organizations in the world Gen.G Esports hinted at joining the upcoming Honor of Kings (HoK) International Championship (KIC) 2022. The tournament is set to be held on 3rd December and will feature teams from all over the world competing for the lion’s share of the $10 Million USD prize pool. Gen.G Esports teased its fans with a cryptic retweeted post of HoK Global Esports’ announcement for the upcoming tournament. The esports organization is yet to reveal its roster for the upcoming tournament. However, the HoK roster may be built in partnership with Mobil 1, a motor oil brand that has recently ventured into esports.
Gen.G Esports may be planning to host an HoK roster soon
One of the biggest mobile MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) titles in China, HoK, took the world by storm with its international beta release. Esports organizations from all over the world announced their participation in the upcoming KIC 2022 that boasts a massive prize pool with the winner going home with $3.5 Million USD in prize money.
One of the esports organizations that took interest in the mobile esports title was Gen.G Esports which currently holds a wide variety of teams in various esports titles like League of Legends (LoL), PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds), Rocket League, and Valorant.
Through a Twitter post on 7th October, Gen.G esports announced that it may be hosting its own HoK roster soon in partnership with Mobil 1.
The esports organization also made a post on its Weibo account saying that the upcoming KIC 2022 may be the next challenge it plans to venture into.
“Stay Tuned for GenG’s Next Challenge,” Gen.G Esports captioned.
A roster reveal is yet to be seen from the esports organization. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for more updates in the future.
