A native PlayStation 5 version of immensely popular free-to-play title Genshin Impact has been rated in Taiwan, as pointed out by Gematsu on Twitter. The colourful open world game is currently available on PS4, but it’s playable on PS5 through backwards compatibility, where it has a much smoother frame-rate and better load times.
A PS5 edition of Genshin Impact makes sense given the game’s staggering success, but what kind of improvements would it have? An even more stable frame-rate at a higher resolution, we imagine, but beyond that? We’ll have to wait and see.
Ratings aren’t necessarily an indicator of an imminent release, but they do suggests that the product in question exists on some level. Hopefully we hear more about Genshin Impact on PS5 soon.
