Ghostrunner Is Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X This Fall

Ghostrunner, the well-received cyborg ninja action game, is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X on September 28, publisher 505 Games announced Wednesday.

The PS5/Xbox Series X version of Ghostrunner will come with improved graphics and performance, along with several new features. If you missed the news earlier, a Ghostrunner sequel is also in the works for PS5/Xbox Series X and PC.

On the graphical front, Ghostrunner’s PS5/Series X version is receiving post-processing HDR, a ray tracing fidelity mode, 3D audio, and other improvements. The PS5 version is also receiving new haptic feedback on the DualSense controller. 505 Games adds that Ghostrunner will run in 4K, 120 FPS, and with “instant loading.”

On the gameplay side of things, Ghostrunner’s PS5 and Xbox Series X version is getting all modes since launch, including a timer-based “Kill Run,” an upcoming enemy wave-based mode, an accessibility-minded assist mode, and a photo mode for taking pictures of all that slicing and dicing. Those new modes are scheduled for release this summer.

Ghostrunner fans can grab either a physical or digital edition of the PS5/Xbox Series X version for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99, but if you already own the PS4 or XBO edition, you can upgrade to your respective next-gen console’s version for free.
