It’s been available on PC through the likes of Steam for the last six months or so, and in that time it’s picked up a host of Very Positive reviews. We’re therefore very excited to see the retro-futuristic management of Mind Scanners emerge on Xbox One, Series X|S, Game Pass and Nintendo Switch.
Created by those at The Outer Zone, with the publishing side of things handled by Brave At Night, Mind Scanners hits Xbox, Game Pass and Nintendo Switch with some serious hype behind it; mostly pushed by an extremely positive launch on PC.
Priced at £14.24 (from the Xbox Store, expect the Nintendo eShop to run a similar price), Mind Scanners throws you into a management experience that requests around 4-5 hours of your time – more if you’re looking to replaying options. It runs as a title in which you attempt to aid the residents of The Structure, leaving you to go deep into the minds of those in front of you, analyzing their personalities and attempting to work out whether they need your help or not.
This plays out via a variety of gameplay devices, multiple decisions and the requirement of gaining the trust from The Structure. Do so and you might just get to see your daughter again. Fail, and well, it doesn’t want thinking about.
Mind Scanners promises to provide pretty much every tool you need. There are a few narrative threads to work through, plus a ton of side stories for good measure. With those branching off based on your choices.
It all sounds pretty damn good and so if you’re in the market for something a little different to the norm, and are ready to go deep into the psyche of others, Mind Scanners should well be on your radar – particularly as the Xbox version is playable through Game Pass.
Pick it up from the Xbox Store for Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S, or the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch.
Hold tight for our review.
