God of War: Ragnarok – latest news & gameplay footage
US outlet Game Informer is running God of War: Ragnarok as its cover story this month. Therefore it’s releasing a bunch of exclusive content for subscribers.
Thankfully, it’s also releasing its videos to everyone on YouTube too, so we can show you the brand new gameplay footage below.
We get to see some of the combat in the sequel, which so far seems similar to the original, with everything just a little bit bigger.
However, there’s also a new ability mapped to triangle. This will let you use the signature elemental move of whatever weapon you happen to be wielding. Check it out below.
God of War: Ragnarok – release date & PS4 to PS5 upgrade
Sony has declared that God of War: Ragnarok will arrive on November 9, 2022 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
The PlayStation 5 version costs around £10/$10 more than the PlayStation 4 version. Those getting the last-gen version should note that there is no free upgrade path.
As per the PlayStation Blog, an upgrade to the PS5 version from PS4 will cost you $10 or currency equivalent. The good news is, if you buy the PS5 version, it comes with the PS4 version included.
God of War: Ragnarok – pre order details and collector’s edition info
The game will come in four editions at launch. There’s the Standard Edition, the Collector’s Edition and the Jotnar Edition. Those buying digitally will be able to choose between Standard and Digital Deluxe Edition.
Pre orders of any of the game’s editions will get a Kratos Risen Snow Armor and the Atreus Risen Snow Tunic cosmetics as downloadable content for no extra cost.
