GoldenEye 007 finally confirmed for Xbox, set to join Xbox Game Pass

It’s official! After months of speculation and waiting, Rare has finally confirmed that the GoldenEye 007 remaster is coming to Xbox consoles and Xbox Game Pass.

As most of you probably already know, we picked up the GoldenEye 007 achievements way back in January. Since then, we haven’t heard a peep from Microsoft or Rare on the remaster until today, when it was finally unveiled during the latest Nintendo Direct. Rare then confirmed that GoldenEye 007 is on its way to Xbox.

Unfortunately, no release date has been announced, but Rare has shared a few details about the game. Apparently, GoldenEye 007 has been “faithfully recreated for Xbox consoles,” and it will feature achievements (we already knew about that one), 4K resolution, and “a smoother framerate even in split-screen local multiplayer.”

During the Nintendo Switch Direct, it was noted that GoldenEye 007 will also feature online play. However, this appears to be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version of the game.

Microsoft has also confirmed that GoldenEye 007 will be free to all those who own a digital copy of Rare Replay.

GoldenEye 007 launches for Xbox console soon and will be included with Xbox Game Pass. How excited are you for this one? It’s finally happening! Let us know your thoughts down in the comments.
