Gran Turismo 7 releases soon and fans should know the GT7 upgrade price as well as the differences between the PS4 and PS5 version of the game.
This is the first huge game releasing in March. It is the next big Sony exclusive after Horizon Forbidden West, but there’s still plenty more to come throughout the year including God of War Ragnarok.
While Horizon Forbidden West is a dream game for people who love dinosaurs and robots, GT7 is the perfect wish fulfilment for us average folk who love expensive cars but don’t have the endless riches of a Bruce Wayne.
GT7 PS4 vs PS5
The most notable difference is that Gran Turismo 7 costs £59.99 on PS4 but £69.99 on PS5.
However, away from a simple difference in price, there are features exclusive to next-gen. Below are the PlayStation 5 exclusive features listed on the PSN store:
- 4K and HDR targeted at 60 FPS
- Ray tracing
- Haptic feedback
- anti-lock brake system and wheel spin vibrations
- Adaptive triggers
- 3D audio
In an interview with GTPlanet, series creator Kazunori Yamauchi also said that there is a significant difference in loading time between PS4 and PS5. However, the modes remain the same, plus both versions look absolutely gorgeous.
Gran Turismo 7 PS5 upgrade price
The PS5 upgrade price for Gran Turismo 7 is £10.
Sony Interactive Entertainment president and CEO, Jim Ryan, confirmed awhile back that Horizon Forbidden West is the last PS4 and PS5 game to offer a free upgrade. All Sony console exclusives from now on will require a fee of £10 to bump up your last-gen copy to next-gen.
It’s important to know that you must own a PS5 console with a disc drive if you buy a last-gen physical copy of GT7.
Release date
The release date for the GT7 is March 4th.
You can still buy it in advance of its launch day to get the following bonuses:
- 100,000 CR (in-game credit)
- Three-car pack, including:
- MAZDA RX-VISION GT3 CONCEPT Stealth Model
- Porsche 917 LIVING LEGEND
- Toyota Supra GT500 ’97 (Castrol TOM’S)
