‘Grand Theft Auto V’ for PS5 has reportedly been pushed back

In disappointing news, the Grand Theft Auto V expanded and enhanced edition for the Playstation 5 has reportedly been pushed back.

The second revamped version of the 2013 Grand Theft Auto V game was set to be released in 2021 but eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the newly unveiled Sony trailer omits a release date from the clip.

The news has hit GTA fans on Reddit hard as many are predicting that the news also means that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be a long way off too.

One sad, “I could still a spring 2024 release after a late 2022 announcement. Majority of rockstar are working on GTA6 and I don’t think they need a huge gap between the two releases. Also Gta5 e&e won’t take away from the excitement and attention away from a gta6 teaser trailer. So even if this releases are in 2022 spring we can still possibly get a gta6 tease in the fall of that same year.”

In other related news, lawmakers in Illinois are looking to introduce a bill that could ban video games such as Grand Theft Auto due to a surge of car thefts in the area.

In a statement to IGN, the Electronic Software Assocation (ESA) said, “While our industry understands and shares the concerns about what has been happening in Chicago, there simply is no evidence of a link between interactive entertainment and real-world violence.

“We believe the solution to this complex problem resides in examining thoroughly the actual factors that drive such behaviours rather than erroneously ascribing blame to video games based solely upon speculation.”
