Rockstar has revealed when Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA online will be coming to PS5 & Xbox Series X, alongside new next-gen gameplay details!
Grand Theft Auto 5 is one of the biggest games of all time and players have been waiting for ages for it to arrive on the new generation of consoles.
Having been a huge success in the 7th and 8th generation, it came as no surprise when Rockstar announced GTA 5 Expanded & Enhanced for PS5 and Xbox Series X. However, it still hasn’t arrived yet.
The GTA 5 Expanded & Enhanced delay will have seemed like forever for fans of the series. However, the wait is now almost over.
We know this thanks to new information from Rockstar about Grand Theft Auto’s upcoming release on next-gen consoles.

Grand Theft Auto 5 & GTA Online PS5 & Xbox Series X Release Date & Improved Features
The main news dropping from Rockstar today was the confirmation that GTA 6 is in now development. However, there is also some news for gamers to look forward to a bit sooner than that!
A new blog post from Rockstar has revealed the next-gen release date for GTA 5. Plus, there are some details about the improved gameplay too.
GTA 5 and GTA Online will release on PS5 and Xbox Series X on March 15. Gamers on both platforms will also be able to download a standalone version of GTA Online on this date too.
The next-gen release will include new graphics modes with up to 4K resolution or 60FPS. Plus, there will be faster much faster load times, HDR options, ray-tracing, 3D audio, and haptic feedback for PS5.

Additionally, Rockstar revealed that players will be able to carry over their GTA Online characters to PS5 and Xbox Series X as well as some changes coming to the online component too.
This includes a new tutorial, Hao’s Special Works auto shop, and the Career Builder. The Career Builder will give new players access to an illicit business, a property, weapons, and a high-end vehicle straight away.

However, you’ll need to get a next-gen console if you don’t have one already. Unfortunately, the PS5 stock shortage will continue throughout 2022.
