Guild Esports PLC (LSE:GILD, OTC:GULDF) said its Fortnite pro-player, Henrik Mclean, achieved first place in the prestigious Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) Grande Royale yesterday.
Guild Esports’ Anas El-Abd, Jannis Matwin and Lennard Sill finished 3rd, 4th and 14th place respectively in the tournament, sending Guild to the number 1 ranking spot in Europe. Guild’s pro-players a total of US$356,500 in prize money from the event.
“The FNCS Grand Royale was a dominating display from Guild’s entire roster, and taking home our fourth championship trophy was a testament to the hard work put in by everyone at Guild over the last year. There’s so much more yet to come,” said Kal Hourd, chief executive of Guild.
