To the surprise of no one, Guilty Gear Strive is getting a second season of DLC and updates. The freshly announced Season 2 begins later this year, and will include four additional DLC characters and balance updates. But perhaps the biggest news here is that the game’s getting cross-play support across PlayStation platforms and PC (Steam).
Cross-play has been a much requested feature ever since Strive was first announced. In allowing players to match up between PS5 / PS4 and PC, Arc System Works should have an easier job of maintaining Strive’s community. Hopefully this move pushes other fighting game developers to adopt a similar approach.
