Wade Randall describes himself as a “video game nerd.”
Now, he’s about to share that love with the community in Harrisburg.
Conquer Escape Room isn’t new to the area, but now, the business is now adding a gaming aspect to the community. It’ll be accompanied by 12 “high-end” PCs, virtual reality setups. That includes a Hologate arena, a multiplayer virtual reality system that utilizes haptic vests and hand controllers.
The business will also have six modern-day consoles including three Playstation 5s, three Xbox Series X devices and Nintendo Switches. There’s also a “retrostation,” which includes Playstation 1 and Nintendo 64.
“(You can play) any and every game you can possibly think of, and if we don’t have it, we’ll get it,” owner Wade Randall said. ‘… The concept is basically just to create a social space for gamers to be able to play on the top-of-the-line latest hardware … We just sort of want to capitalize on the amount of people gaming and give them the best experience they can at the absolute most affordable pricing that we can.”
It’s inside a massive facility that’s roughly 100,000 square feet, according to Randall, and includes escape rooms, a trampoline park and basketball courts.

Looking to add adult lounge, bar in 2023
Along with the new gaming center, Randle said the business is anticipating adding an 18-foot-by-20-foot bar upstairs, along with classic arcade games. That’s expected to open in January of 2023. The business expects to target the older population with classic games and tabletop gaming.
“This is where we’ll have some more of the traditional stuff, but that’s a future thing,” Randle said.
Inside the gaming area, Conquer will also plan to serve alcoholic beverages including beer and wine once it gets up and running. And, the plan is to add snacks such as chips, soda and candy.

Conquer Gaming is planning to host leagues and tournaments as well once it gets up and running. And, there will be big prizes.
Potential prizes include a $3,000 cash prizes, TVs, gaming consoles and a 3090 gaming PC, which is “top of the line.” Tournament games include Fortnite, Call of Duty and Smash Bros – just to name a few.
Pricing information
At Conquer gaming, the opening weekend will be completely free for two hours of gaming.
For the opening month, it’ll be a “buy one hour get an hour free.”
- Premium Station (including high-end 3090 PCs, Index VR): $7/hr
- PCs: $6/hr, $14/3 hr.
- Consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X): $4/hr, $10/3 hrs
- Retrostation: (Playstation 1, Nintendo 64, Nintendo Switch): $3/hr
For consoles, Conquer will offer GamePass, so users will be able to download specific games they want to play, and can even sign into their own Playstation and Xbox accounts.
Conquer Gaming will also offer $20 all-day passes that expire at midnight, or all-night passes for $25.
The focus for the business is to keep it cost-friendly. With COVID-19 throwing a wrench into the supply chain, Randall noticed that chips were extremely expensive, so he decided to make gaming more accessible.
“We’re not going to upcharge for remote controls … We’re not going to do that. We are basically trying to provide the most luxurious, high-end experience that you can, for as little money as we possibly can,” Randle said. “We’re not building it to be a profit center, but we want to build a community.”
The business is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. And then on the weekends, the business will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 a.m., the next day. Conquer Escape Room and Gaming is located in Harrisburg at 310 Industrial Rd., and the gaming center is launching on Oct. 1.
