Hitman 3‘s Freelancer mode has been delayed once again to January 26, 2023, developer IO Interactive has announced.
Freelancer mode, which offers a rougelike take on Agent 47’s latest adventure, was originally scheduled to launch in Spring 2022 before being pushed to the second half of the year. It’s not all bad news though, as there will be a closed technical test for Freelancer mode, with details on how to access arriving shortly.

We’ve decided to push beyond our original scope for launch and include almost all locations from the World of Assassination from day one. We’re continuing to work on making the launch experience as frictionless as possible for all players.
What isn’t known at this point is if IO Interactive will release the Freelancer mode as a free update or make it paid-for DLC.
Hitman 3 was released in January 2021 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, and IO has kept things ticking over with some robust post-launch content ever since. You can read our review of the game here.
