Humankind Has Been Delayed Indefinitely For Consoles

SEGA, Amplitude Studios, and development partner Aspyr Media have announced that Humankind, the turn-based historical strategy game released for PC in October 2020, has been delayed for consoles “until further notice”.

As Aspyr Media works on handling the port for consoles, apparently more time is required to “provide the best possible experience to console players,” according to the announcement. “We know this will be frustrating for many of you, but we believe this delay is for the best…” Amplitude stated.

Refunds will be given to anyone who has pre-purchased Humankind on digital storefronts “in line with platform policy”. Humankind had been scheduled for arrive for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 on 4th November, but is now, for the time being, without a release date.
