In September 2021, new games will be released.

As we turn the calendar page into September, we start to head into the holiday season, or at least what is traditionally considered the busiest time of the year for new game releases. Nintendo was never really one to abide by traditional calendars, as evidenced by their solid stream of games throughout the year.

One of the highlights is, of course, WarioWare: Get It Together! It’s basically a collection of 200 quick and quirky microgames. There’s a Story mode that can be played solo or with a friend, as well as a Variety Pack that supports up to four player multiplayer mayhem. A demo for WarioWare: Get It Together! is actually available now.

But looking at September’s list of new game releases coming to the Nintendo Switch, it looks a little extra busy.

If you’re a fan of JRPGs, you might want to check out Astria Ascending. Gorgeous hand-drawn visuals, expansive customization, and turn-based combat are some of the highlights of this game.

It’s not all “new” games. There are some remasters of classics as well. We’ve got games like Sonic Colors: Ultimate, a remastered edition of the 2010 Wii and DS game; Diablo II: Resurrected, a remastered version of one of the most iconic action RPGs ever; Darksiders III, a hack-and-slash action-adventure that initially released for PS4 and Xbox One back in 2018; and Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom – Prince’s Edition, a re-release of LEVEL-5’s beloved RPG with all previous DLC included.
