Bonelab is now available to purchase from several different platforms, and if you own it on Oculus Quest 2, you’ll be able to take advantage of cross-buy.
For those that might not have encountered the feature before, it’s only something that has been made available recently.
It was unveiled last by Oculus and made quite the splash for those who didn’t want to miss out on anything regarding their favourite game or app.
And with Bonelab set to be another big launch on Quest 2, fans want to know whether cross-buy is something they can rely on.
Is Bonelab Cross-Buy Between Oculus Quest 2 And PC?
Developers Stress Level Zero has confirmed that Bonelab is a cross-buy enabled game that can be played on Oculus Quest 2 and PC. This means that when you cross-buy titles on the Oculus Store, you only have to buy the Quest or Rift version once to access both.
And as Bonelab has been confirmed as part of the existing library and can now be found on the cross-buy Quest 2 web page, fans should be able to use cross-buy between Oculus Quest 2 and PC.
A message from Oculus explains: “The “cross” in Oculus cross-buy comes from the fact that Rift and Quest headsets run on different operating systems. While many games can be played on Rift and Quest, these games are specifically designed to work on one platform or the other. The PC-supported Rift version of a game relies on a gaming PC’s GPU to power the graphics, and as a result, these games tend to have higher memory requirements.”
It should be noted that if you want to use this feature, you will need to buy Bonelab from the Oculus Store, as the feature won’t work when using Steam. And that is something to consider, as Bonelab can be purchased via the Steam VR pages for the Valve Index.
The Minimum requirements to run Bonelab can be found below and includes the following information:
