Fans of the Destroy All Humans franchise are eagerly awaiting the release of Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed. After the huge success that was the remake of the original Destroy All Humans game, THQ Nordic decided that they would publish a remake of the sequel as well. Fans were overjoyed at this news, but it has been a little quiet since then. While a release date set in 2022 was given, the fans were a little worried about the consoles on which it was shown to be available. Let’s go over if and when Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed will release on Switch.
Will Destroy All Humans be Available on Switch
Just like The Quarry, it always crosses players’ minds when a new game comes out if it will have a Switch release. Tragically, in an interview with Stefan Schmitz, the assistant creative director for Black Forest, it was revealed why the last gen consoles were not present on the list of available consoles.
Schmitz explained that the reason they cut the last gen consoles was so they could keep the size and scale of the original Destroy All Humans 2 maps and also provide the same look and polish that the Destroy All Humans remake got. So unless the switch gets a major upgrade later down the line, you probably won’t see a Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed release on the Switch.
This does make sense since the switch does have trouble running games that the last gen Playstation and Xbox could handle. It may seem weird to think of the switch as the last-gen console despite it being the latest release from Nintendo, but that’s just because Nintendo always seems to release in between other consoles.
The switch did get an OLED model upgrade but that didn’t seem much change to the actual power the system has, just a nicer screen to look at. Maybe the remake will be brought to the next Nintendo console to come out, but we will just have to wait and see.
Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed will be available on August 30th later this year for Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
