Is there a Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance Nintendo Switch release date?

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is a new action RPG that, obviously, takes place in the iconic D&D universe. Players can team up with friends to gather loot and slay monsters, which sounds like a perfect fit for Nintendo Switch. But, is there a Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance Nintendo Switch port on the way? Here’s the need-to-know on this D&D ARPG coming to Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite.

Is a D&D: Dark Alliance Nintendo Switch version coming out?

D&D: Dark Alliance brings the tabletop world of Dungeons and Dragons to life. Wizards of the Coast fans are chomping at the bit for an opportunity to encounter familiar heroes and monsters, fully realized and animated in 3D. There isn’t long to wait until they can do just that, but the question remains — can Nintendo Switch owners get in on the action?

Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance is launching June 22 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. At the time of writing, no D&D: Dark Alliance Nintendo Switch version has been announced. Unfortunately, that means there’s no D&D: DA Switch release date for fans of Nintendo’s hybrid handheld to mark on their calendars.

Tuque Games doesn’t have any past experience developing for Nintendo Switch. Despite that, if the game performs well on other console platforms, it could receive a port at a later date. Dungeons & Dragons has a huge fanbase, as does Nintendo Switch, so if there’s the call for it there’s no reason to rule out a portable version altogether.

It’s only possible to speculate right now, of course, so stay tuned for updates on a potential Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance Nintendo Switch launch.

In other RPG news, Disco Elysium: The Final Cut finally has a release date. Xbox Game Pass is also adding Undertale, Octopath Traveller, and more to its expanding catalogue.

Finally, a Fortnite x Dark Souls crossover could be on the way.
