Is There Monday Night Football Tonight? TV Schedule, Start Times, And More

The NFL preseason has officially come to an end, and teams have decided on their 53-man rosters. Waivers have run, some players who were cut have signed with new teams, and now, we wait. All that being said, are there any NFL games being played today, and if not, when does the 2022 NFL season actually start?

Save your draft. Save your team. Win money.

There are no NFL games today. Monday Night Football will make its triumphant return on September 12, 2022, when the Denver Broncos take on the Seattle Seahawks.

It should be an incredibly interesting game with Russell Wilson making his Broncos debut against his former team. The Seahawks have announced that Geno Smith will be their starting QB to start the year, but Drew Lock is waiting not too far behind if ever Smith makes a mistake.

Although there are no NFL games today, the regular season is now only four days away, kicking off on Thursday, Sept. 8. The Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams will launch the 2022 NFL season in Los Angeles, where Matthew Stafford and the Rams won the Super Bowl a few short months ago.

With both of these teams returning a good amount of their starters, expectations are incredibly high. Even though they managed to secure most of their team, they still managed to make significant upgrades. The Bills brought in Von Miller this offseason, and the Rams added Allen Robinson to an already impressive WR core.

After the Thursday Night Football game, the usual Sunday slate of games will take place. The action starts at 1 p.m. ET and continues right up until Sunday Night Football at 8:15 p.m. ET.

Some interesting storylines to follow Sunday include Baker Mayfield’s return to Cleveland, an AFC East clash between the Dolphins and Patriots, and a prime-time matchup between two NFC powerhouses in Dallas and Tampa Bay.

Another matchup to keep your eyes on is an AFC West battle between the LAs Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers. Even though it is only Week 1, the implications of this game are huge in a division that is incredibly competitive. Both of these teams are going to need every win they can get if they hope to dethrone the Kansas City Chiefs.
