While the slate of brand new PlayStation 5 releases does admittedly look a little light, next-gen early adopters have tons to look forward to this month, as publishers load up on free PS4 to PS5 upgrades. The shiny re-releases start 2nd March with Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which was seemingly postponed on Sony’s new console due to marketing arrangements. But it’ll be followed on 4th March by Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition.
Then on 12th March, the excellent Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will get its anticipated PS5 makeover – some may argue, it’s about time. That’s part of an Activision one-two punch, with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 due out on 26th March – although it’s worth noting that you will need to pod out for an upgrade to the Deluxe Edition if you don’t own it already in order to be eligible for a “free” next-gen copy.
Sandwiching the aforementioned will be Marvel’s Avengers on 18th March, which is getting its PS5 port alongside a big Hawkeye expansion pack. So, in total five games are all getting re-releases this month, and aside from Tony Hawk’s aforementioned small-print, you’ll be eligible to download them all for free if you already own the games on the PS4. Which will you be revisiting? Let us know in the comments section below.
