The latest boxed Japanese video game software and hardware has come through from the team at Famitsu for the week of 26th September, 2022 to 2nd October, 2022. Japan is still going crazy over Splatoon 3, and rightly so, the first party game shifted an additional 157,348 physical copies, easily securing the No.1 spot in the land of the rising sun. The hardware charts once again sees the Nintendo Switch family of consoles dominate with an additional 70,565 units sold, but what is interesting to see is the Xbox Series X|S consoles gaining serious traction in Japan this generation. This week they sold 13,064 units and Sony sold 18,076 PlayStation 5 units. Here’s the best-sellers:
