Journey to the Center of the Earth in The Chinese Room’s Latest, Little Orpheus

The multi-award-winning Little Orpheus is an action platformer in which you play as a Soviet cosmonaut in the 1960s who, instead of exploring space, is instead dropped inside an extinct volcano, and embarks on a journey like no other. It’s available on PS5 and PS4 as of today, 14th September.

Developed by The Chinese Room, best known for their exploration gamesDear Esther and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, Little Orpheus is inspired by classic films like Sinbad and The Land That Time Forgot. From what snippets we have seen, we can expect this particular journey to go to some pretty bizarre and unusual places, with some platforming and light puzzle solving to engage in along the way. Lovely.
