Turn-based tactical RPG sequel King’s Bounty II is due to release this August, 1C Entertainment and Koch Media have announced. The game had originally been on for a March 2021 launch, but has been delayed to “ensure the best experience for players” when the title eventually rolls out.
“As a team, we had to make the difficult decision to move King’s Bounty II’s release to a later point in 2021 to ensure the team has adequate time to deliver the best possible King’s Bounty experience,” said 1C Entertainment CEO Nikolay Baryshnikov. “We are currently at a stage where the content is complete and playable, but we need more time to finish playtesting, fixing and polishing,” Producer Denis Maltzev added.
King’s Bounty II takes place within the ambitious open world of Antara and promises a “complex narrative and deep turn-based tactical and RPG mechanics,” which the development team is taking the additional time to balance and polish. As such, King’s Bounty II is now set for release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 24th August 2021. Check out the latest trailer below.
