Fortnite, one of the most popular Battle Royale games, is no longer available in Indonesia. The famous Battle Royale game has been banned since its creator, Epic Games, failed to comply with new regulations of the Government of Indonesia.

Indonesia became the second country to lose access to Fortnite as the title was first banned in China. Kominfo has already reached out to the companies that failed to comply with new regulations to ensure compliance and reverse the ban.

Kominfo has apologized to those impacted but says it was forced to make the move due to non-compliance. Famous fund transfer platform, Paypal will be unblocked for 5 days to allow people to manage/withdraw money from their account. Kominfo also has a world with Valve who plan to register, so Steam might be unblocked soon.

Fans urge Epic Games to solve the problem

As per the new regulations, every tech company that wants to operate in Indonesia will have to comply with the regulations. According to reports, Kominfo (Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication) has already reached out to the blocked companies. There might be chances that Kominfo reached out to Epic Games too. We can expect Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, to comply with the new rules.
