Something similar happened last week with Nintendo Switch Sports. The game received an update, few days back, after which it was required to temporarily suspend it. The reason was a bug that caused the Switch exclusive to crash. Now, this issue has been resolved by Nintendo.

DIVE DEEPER
Furthermore, anyone who is a member of Nintendo Switch Online and owns Switch Sports, will have their membership extended by an extra week. Maybe the Mario maker is trying to compensate for the problems faced by the players. Well it’s a good thing to please the fans this way. Not just that, points earned between October 17th and November 2nd while playing “Play Globally” will be doubled.
Meanwhile, fans seem to be in a weird state after all the frustration and salvation given by Nintendo. Some users are happy to see the issue getting fixed in Switch Sports. While others are still not able to understand how come the title witnessed such a situation.
Thank you for finally getting the problem resolved.

This whole Switch sports fiasco is just sad, the game barely had any sports and they somehow messed it up
I just hope they stop with this “free updates” method they’ve so stubbornly have adhered to, it just doesn’t work for all games
