Legion Will Be Free to Try This Weekend

Ubisoft has announced a free weekend for Watch Dogs: Legion. Starting on March 25, Watch Dogs: Legion will be free to try out until March 29 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The pre-load for the free trial will be going live on March 24 on PlayStation consoles and PC. It is worth noting that the free trial on PlayStation 5 is actually the PS4 version of Watch Dogs: Legion played through backwards compatibility.

The free trial will allow players to check out Watch Dogs: Legion’s campaign up to the Skye Larsen mission. Players will also be able to explore half of the eight boroughs, including the City of London and Islington & Hackney.

Those who decide to buy the game after the free trial will be allowed to keep their game’s progression and continue it in the full game.

Watch Dogs: Legion is also going to see some discounts. Here’s how all the platforms will be discounting Watch Dogs: Legion.

  • Xbox: From March 23 to April 15 – 50% off of the Standard and Ultimate editions.
  • PlayStation: From March 24 to March 31 – 50% off of the Standard and Ultimate editions and 25% off of the season pass
  • Ubisoft Store on Windows PC: From March 18 to April 9 – 50% off of the Standard, Gold & Ultimate editions, and 25% off of the season pass
  • Epic Games Store on Windows PC: March 25 to April 8 – 50% off of the Standard, Gold & Ultimate editions, and 25% off of the season pass

Watch Dogs: Legion Content Roadmap

Ubisoft has planned out a lot of content for Watch Dogs: Legion. There will be free content, as well as exclusive content for season pass owners. The first of these, Leader of the Pack, is already out. It is a Tactical Op which requires teamwork and efficiency. It is available in Watch Dogs: Legion’s online mode.

Late May will see the release of two new PvP modes: Extraction and Invasion. There will also be a new Tactical Op, dubbed Project Omni.

Here’s all the upcoming Season Pass content:

  • In late April, Mina, a subject of transhuman experiments, who possesses the ability to mind control individuals will be available alongside a new mission.
  • Late June will see the release Watch Dogs: Legion – Bloodline, a new storyline which includes Aiden Pearce from the original Watch Dogs game and Wrench from Watch Dogs 2 fully playable in the single player campaign and online.
  • In August, Darcy, a member of the Assassin Order from Assassin’s Creed will be available as a new playable character alongside new missions.
