Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga won’t make its launch planned for this spring, Traveller’s Tales said Friday. The developer didn’t give any additional time frame for when it expected to release the game.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, will be a Lego-ized adaptation of all nine films in the main Star Wars series. Seven of them have already appeared in the Lego Star Wars series going back 16 years.
Lego Star Wars: The Video Game, comprising Episodes I through III, launched in 2005, followed a year later by Lego Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy, spanning Episodes IV through VI. Both games were re-released in 2007 as Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga.
The most recent game in the series was 2016’s Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which means The Skywalker Saga will be the first Lego treatment for either 2017’s The Last Jedi or 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker.
Traveller’s Tales gave the spring 2021 launch window at Gamescom 2020 in late August. In an interview with StarWars.com last May, developers said The Skywalker Saga will feature more than 500 characters and will allow players to start and play through any of the nine films in any order they wish.
