Listen to the Red Dead Redemption 2 Score Live in Los Angeles this Saturday

Red Bull will be hosting a live performance of select tracks of the Red Dead Redemption 2 soundtrack led by composer Woody Jackson.

The Red Dead Redemption 2 original score composer Woody Jackson will be leading performances of select pieces of music from the game on Saturday, February 23, 2019 in Los Angeles.

The event is titled, “RED BULL MUSIC PRESENTS THE MUSIC OF RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2” and tickets are currently available for $25.00 USD. Doors open at 6:00 PM and will take place at the Goya Studios Sound Stage off of Sunset Blvd and just a block from The Los Angeles Film School.

Rockstar Game’s Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic Western outlaw story with an equally impressive 80-hour score, spearheaded by composer Woody Jackson of Grand Theft Auto V soundtrack fame. Red Bull Music has partnered with Rockstar Games to reimagine this extraordinary piece of dynamic score as a unique auditory installation. Fans will be able to experience a full ensemble performance featuring Woody Jackson, experimental Indonesian duo Senyawa and more musicians featured on the game’s score.

There will be two performances, one at 7:00 PM and another at 9:00 PM with separate tickets for each. In its announcement post on the Rockstar Games website as well as Twitter, the developer noted to stay tuned for more information on the official releases for The Music of Red Dead Redemption 2 which will be “coming this Spring.” Until then you will have to continue to subsist off of YouTube videos of the music.

Woody Jackson has also done work as a composer behind the original Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto V, and L.A. Noire. Rockstar has always been praised for their games’ music, whether it be the licensed soundtrack of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (my personal favorite) or the original work created alongside Tangerine Dream for Grand Theft Auto V and the appearance of a D’Angelo, whose last album was Black Messiah in 2014. While no specific tracks are cited for the performance I would expect some of the hits including “American Venom” and “Braithwaite Manor” to appear. Spoilers for those who have yet to compete the epilogue but there is one specific track I would love to hear live.
