Los Angeles Remaster Was in The Works at Rockstar Games

While many of us might struggle to remember the Midnight Club series, it was actually a thing back in the day and quite popular too. It was Rockstar Games’ non-violent racing game franchise that existed during the PS3 and Xbox 360 generations. Sadly, it has been decades since we had a new Midnight Club game and the franchise has been dormant due to the success of Grand Theft Auto V. The last game was Midnight Club: Los Angeles which was released back in 2008 and Rockstar was reportedly looking at remaking the game.

According to a YouTuber SuperType1 who spotted an Instagram post by an artist named Markus Kienzl, he noted working with Rockstar Games on a trailer for a Midnight Club: Los Angeles remaster. The post was originally uploaded on 26 August 2021 and Kienzl mentioned that one of his songs was being used in the trailer.

Somehow everyone missed this announcement and it might have been for the best. Rockstar Games has yet to announce any sort of news on the Midnight Club series. Even previous rumours pointed to a Red Dead Redemption and GTA IV remaster but nothing related to a Midnight Club: Los Angeles.

Sadly, reports claim that Rockstar shelved all remastered games to focus all of its efforts on GTA 6. With the recent leak that took place, chances are Rockstar Games will keep out of the spotlight for a while now as the company gears up to release the new game. It would have been pretty cool to get a Midnight Club: Los Angeles.

Here’s a post to the artist announcing his work on the Midnight Club: Los Angeles trailer:
