Hollywood Stargirl: Plot
The sequel “follows Stargirl’s adventure out of Mica, Arizona, into a larger world of music, dreams, and possibilities,” according to the synopsis. “When her mother Ana gets employed as a costume designer for a film, the family moves to Los Angeles, where Stargirl immediately becomes connected with a diverse cast of personalities. They include Evan and Terrell, two aspiring filmmaker brothers; Mr. Mitchell, a Stargirl neighbour; and Roxanne Martel, a musician Stargirl admires and meets on her travels.”

Julia Hart directs Hollywood Stargirl, based on a script she co-wrote with Jordan Horowitz. Grace VanderWaal, Judy Greer, Elijah Richardson, Tyrel Jackson Williams, Judd Hirsch, and Uma Thurman star in the film, which is directed by Judd Hirsch.
Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Lee Stollman, and Jordan Horowitz produce Hollywood Stargirl, with Kristin Hahn, Nathan Kelly, and Jerry Spinelli serving as executive producers. VanderWaal has composed an original song for the film called “Figure It Out” in addition to appearing in it.
