Just when Nintendo fans felt they might have mastered every Mario Kart course, 48 new tracks have been announced.
Mario Kart 8 is an insanely popular racing game on the Nintendo Switch. It has over 43 million copies sold thus far. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a remake of Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U, and the refreshed classic is now getting 48 additional tracks taken from previous games in the Mario Kart series in the form of the Booster Course Pass DLC.
What are the new Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tracks?
A recent Nintendo Direct featured some major news for Mario Kart fans. During the announcement, it was revealed that the Booster Course Pass would include courses from previous Mario Kart games, including Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart Double Dash, Mario Kart 7, and more, all remastered for the Nintendo Switch.
There will be multiple waves throughout 2022 and the beginning of 2023, with eight tracks coming out at a time. The first wave is releasing on March 18, introducing the Golden Dash Cup and the Lucky Cat Cup. Here are the courses that are set to come soon:
Golden Dash Cup
- Paris Promenade (Tour)
- Toad Circuit (3DS)
- Choco Mountain (N64)
- Coconut Mall (Wii)
Lucky Cat Cup
- Tokyo Blur (Tour)
- Shroom Ridge (3DS)
- Sky Garden (GBA)
- Ninja Hideaway (Tour)
After these initial DLC waves, there will be five more waves containing eight new tracks each. The two cups within each wave don’t have confirmed names just yet, and the exact tracks to be included are still a surprise.
