Crystal Dynamics is looking into Marvel’s Avengers issues being experienced by PS4 players following the release of the game’s latest update.
Patch 1.5.1a, which launched on Wednesday, includes “a few stability improvements and fixes”, according to the studio.
However, following its release, a number of PS4 players on social media platforms and Reddit began reporting persistent crashes.
“On Ps4. Can’t play it at all, keeps crashing,” reads a post from one Reddit user on Wednesday.
“Same. Constant CE-34878-0 on PS4 after selecting Avengers Initiative,” reads another.
“We’re aware of the issues with PS4 right now and are investigating!” the game’s official Twitter account wrote in response to another user complaining of crashes following the latest update.
Some users are speculating that the issue is tied to the PS4 version of the game being made available to PlayStation Now subscribers on Wednesday.
Marvel’s Avengers and Borderlands 3 have today joined the subscription service until July 5 and September 29, 2021, respectively.
Marvel’s Avengers patch 1.5.0 launched on March 18, introducing new hero Clint Barton and fresh story content in the form of Operation Hawkeye: Future Imperfect, alongside the delayed release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game.
Crystal Dynamics also confirmed last month that the release of Marvel’s Avengers’ PlayStation exclusive Spider-Man content had been delayed.
