Nov. 1—International Games Day is Nov. 13, and Mentor Public Library is offering a couple of ways for kids to get in the game.
First, youths ages 6 to 12 can compete in a friendly Mario Kart Tournament at 1 p.m. at the library’s Main Branch, 8215 Mentor Ave. Young racers can play on Switch, Wii U or even N64, if they’re feeling retro, according to a news release. The library will also have crafts and other games available for the kids to play while they’re waiting for their turn to race.
Meanwhile, the library’s Headlands Branch, 4669 Corduroy Road, is hosting a ROBLOX quest at 2 p.m. that same day.
Kids can join in the adventure in person or online. Players who want to join in person are encouraged to bring their own devices, because in-house computer availability is limited.
Registration is required for both the Mario Kart Tournament and ROBLOX adventure. RSVP at www.mentorpl.org or call the library at 440-255-8811.
