Microsoft still hasn’t closed the deal to buy Activision Blizzard. If you ask to help a business owner, the tech giant’s on the verge of buying an out-of-date company.
Don’t forget that Duty is just the tip of a ridiculously hard-balling iceberg.

In a news interview with Squawk Asia, Spencer says he won’t rule out further acquisitions even if it still hasn’t finalized the massive Activision Blizzard buyout.
Here’s what Spencer told us about whether Microsoft will retain his competitive position.
This is such an open market, so I don’t think I’d like to force another pause on anything. Tencent is the largest gaming company on the planet today. They continue to invest heavily in game creators and content creators.

Spencer’s words echoes the recent trend in the gaming industry. Sony can complain no matter what it wants about the imminent exclusivity of Call of Duty, but its defense isn’t innocent. Sony established an arrangement of larger studios with exclusive PlayStation titles, only so that they could acquire the studios months later. Housemarque and Bluepoint Games are the best and most recent examples of that. Spencer was able to tell it this way in the same interview as he made clear of the matter that he was on the stand to defend the company’s buying spree.
After two years of relative silence, the Xbox platform is now in a good position to take advantage of the recent PS5 price hike.
Activision acquired Blizzard on the heels of the ZeniMax Media buyout in late 2020.
According to Spencer, Microsoft doesn’t have any plans to increase the price of the Xbox. If the Xbox will sell its price down, the release of Starfield and Redfall next year, among others, could be the determining factor in any reason why people will buy an Xbox Series S/X over a PS5. We’ve seen signs of the Xbox Series S/X outselling the PS5 earlier this year. The deathloop reloaded on Xbox and the game pass must see this continues.
When I said “Challenge”, Activision Blizzard confirmed that the date of release is 2:00.
