Microsoft initially had a group of exclusives for Xbox 360 to build for next year

We know full well that next year will be huge for the Xbox Series S/X. After two years of almost zero exclusives, Microsoft is finally making it money. In addition to the new feature of the long-running Forza Motorsports, the Xbox S/X is going to welcome the launch of Starfield and Redfall from Bethesda Softworks. Since Redfall and Starfield are arriving late, though unforeseen circumstances seem to be due to an early arrival, there are very much apt plans for the next year.

Skyrim fans want to play Avowed as soon as possible.

According to the VentureBeat reporter Jeff Grubb, Microsoft’s exclusive titles slate will always be heavy based on an internal 2021-2022 schedule that he’d managed to make it come to be very busy.

Here is the original 2023 lineup for the Xbox S/X, as explained Grubb.

  • Hellblade 2
  • Perfect Dark
  • Fable
  • Contraband
  • Avowed
  • Everwild
  • InXile’s next game is played on the same date.
  • Compulsion Games’ title is about to be announced in 2020.
  • The non-Gears initiative of the Coalition’s non-Gears initiative runs by the government.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II has been in development for several years already.

According to Grubb, a lot has changed since. It is clear for the insider that there isn’t much chance that Everwild will come out next year as well as Fable, Perfect Dark, and even Avowed. But, Grubb said that he expects at least two more games from the list to be announced before next year ends. And Hellblade 2 and possibly Contraband.

The mysterious projects that are made of InXile Entertainment and The Coalition have most intrigued us. We’re aware that the latter will use Unreal Engine 5 and that it’s going to launch in 2024. But there isn’t much to tell. In the meantime the former didn’t make any announcements. Microsoft has possibly canceled InXile’s unannounced game since the end of the season. Lastly, the studio might just wait for a chance to announce the project.

A well-known figure is probably the one who’ll give a huge amount of time to Microsoft to capitalize on a relatively poor slate for Sony. After the death of War: Ragnarok and the remake of Crisis Core come out later this year, Sony has only a single big exclusive coming out in the first half of the year is like a dragon. Final Fantasy 16, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and FF7 Rebirth are not expected until the second half.
