The release date for MLB The Show 22 on Xbox Game Pass is next week but you can pay a price to play early access tomorrow.
This is one of the biggest titles set to come out next month alongside Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga. And what makes it even better is that it’s another high profile day one launch for Microsoft’s subscription programme.
While it will be available on Microsoft’s subscription at no added cost, you can pay an additional fee to play in just a few days.
Is MLB The Showing 22 on Game Pass?
The release date for when MLB The Show 22 is coming to Xbox Game Pass is April 5th.
This is the same launch day as the Standard edition. If you opt for early access, you will be able to start playing from April 1st.
A regular subscription fee to join Microsoft’s service is £7.99 per month. Or you can pay £10.99 a month for an Ultimate subscription which includes Games with Gold.
If you haven’t already subscribed, we always recommend the Ultimate membership because of its Games with Gold and EA Play inclusion.
How to play early access
The only way to play MLB The Show 22 early access via Xbox Game Pass is through purchasing a bundle that costs £41.74.
Although this is a much higher fee than a subscription, it is less than the MVP and Deluxe editions that cost £74.99 and £89.99. And these are the only ways PlayStation users can play from April 1st.
If you do buy the bundle, you will receive four days early access plus the following:
- Two Gold Choice Pack
- 10 Show Packs
- One Ballplayer Pack
- Double Daily login rewards
- 10k Stubs
